It didn't take long for Apple to fix some thermal throttling in the 2018 MacBook Pro. Although these are some of the most powerful MacBook Pros yet, there were some issues where they would be slower at certain tasks than previous, less powerful generations. Apple released a special update that fixes this issue. The update is a supplemental update (build 17G2208) only available for the 2018 MacBook Pro.
