200,000 Pageviews!

It's still hard for me to fathom that I made it past 100,000 pageviews. But it's even more insane to think that Tech Talk 4 Geeks has passed 200,000 pageviews. How crazy is that? A huge thanks goes out to each and every reader, whether you're a long time reader or just discovered the blog. Each one of you support the blog and keep me writing. TT4G has certainly grown a lot over the past four years, and I hope it will continue to grow. Thanks again!

New Domain Address

To add to Tech Talk 4 Geeks' growing list of milestones, Tech Talk 4 Geeks has a new domain. You can now go to techtalk4geeks.com to access Tech Talk 4 Geeks. However, you can also use techtalk4geeks.blogspot.com to access Tech Talk 4 Geeks as well. To be clear, both links work to get to the homepage. This domain is possible because of continued patronage from my parents, so thank you! It should be noted that because of the domain, we may experience maintenance issues. 1000 Days in a Row!

With this blog post, I will have written on this blog every single day in a row for 1000 days! That's every day since September 17, 2012! Almost three years! To anyone reading this, new to the blog or not, thank you. You're the people who keep me writing every single day. I assure you, it's not stopping anytime soon. Looking back, it's ironic that I managed to do this. When I first started writing everyday, I didn't think it would last long because school was just starting. But, here we are now! So once again, thank you!

Notable Changes To The Blog

As you may have noticed, there have been multiple changes to Tech Talk 4 Geeks. After about two years, I think it's time for a change. Don't worry! Everything continues to function the same, it's just some cosmetic changes. In addition, these changes should improve your overall experience on the blog. Here are the main changes:

The Heading

 The first change you'll notice is the heading. Before it the link bar had a strange and unsymmetrical feel to it. Now, all the links are on one organized line.

Color Scheme

I took advantage of this opportunity and did a little branding. A lot of the page is coated orange (to compliment Tech Talk 4 Geeks' logo). I know the logo isn't shown a lot and I feel this helps represent Tech Talk 4 Geeks.

Width Adjustments

Notice that the iWatch picture in the before picture is partially overlapped by the Twitter widget. That has been fixed in this change. You can now view the picture in all of its glory.

Labels

In the before picture, the labels (a.k.a. tags) went way past the posts. This made it awkward getting to the end of the page. This has also been fixed. With this new layout, the tags (along with the other widgets) are condensed.

Happy Anniversary Tech Talk 4 Geeks!!!

A year ago today, Tech Talk 4 Geeks was created. It started when I wanted to share my knowledge of iOS devices and Macs. I'd tried making magazines, writing books, and more! But none of those worked out because I didn't have enough time to fill a book, let alone a magazine (especially not every month). So, I had to find a method to share the knowledge with a service that would let me write as much as I'd want to and as often as I'd wanted. Then, I thought of Blogger. It made it easy to post on-the-go too! The next morning, I made my first post. So, while the first post was August 6th, this is the blog's creation date. It was created at night, so there was no time for me to post. And that's how Tech Talk 4 Geeks came to be. Thank you to all of you readers who have been with me whether you've found this blog the day it was founded or just yesterday.

30,000 Pageviews!

Thank you so much for getting my blog to 30,000 page views! As many times as I said this before, this is something I've never expected! Thanks! 

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

Tech Talk 4 Geeks was entered into the San Diego County Fair. The blog was filed under "Computer Projects". It won first place. But the best part was that it won the Coordinator's Award. I think that's a pretty good award. With that note, thank you for making this blog possible. In fact, the one-year anniversary of this blog is coming up and this is a great way to start the party. For those wondering, my blog was created the night of August 5, 2012. The first post was published on August 6, 2012. Thank you for all your help!

20,000 Page views!

Thank you for getting my blog to 20,000 page views!!! This is truly amazing. To think, only two months ago, there were 10,000 page views. I am very happy! Thank you.

12345 Pageviews!

Recently, Tech Talk 4 Geeks has reached 12345 page views! This is amazing! I always felt the need to pretend that I'm writing to an audience. But it turns out, I don't have to pretend. Thank you so much!

Happy 100th!

Yes! It's come! This is the 100th post I've published so far. I can't believe that we've come so far in the past few months. I thank you all in helping me come to this point! You guys inspire me to get up early in the morning every morning to publish a new post. I'm glad to say that there is somebody out there reading my posts. So thank you so much! I hope to bring you more tech related posts later today but for now, thank you!
