iTunes metadata suggests that the ability to hide built-in apps from iOS will be available in a future update, according to
AppAdvice. In the App Store, there are two new attributes for apps. The first one is named "isFirstParty". This one seems self-explanatory, but the more important one is the second attribute. It's named "isFirstPartyHideableApp". This would be assigned true for apps that are built-in to iOS and that can be hidden. This being said, it would make sense for first-party apps to have the ability to be hidden. This has been a long requested feature by iOS users.
