In iOS 8, Alex (Stephen Hawking voice) will be used as the accessibility voice for those who are blind. This is interesting as it has been Siri before. He will also be used for speaking selected text aloud. Could he possibly be a voice for Siri in the future as well? Possibly, but I don't think Apple would replace their new natural sounding Siri with that of Alex's. But, if Apple continues in the direction that their in, they may allow third-party voices in the future!
