According to research firm IDC via MacRumors, nearly half of all smartwatch sales were Apple Watches. It's market share was estimated at 49.6%. The next best selling watch is from Samsung, with 11% market share. It seems that Series 2 and Apple's popularity could be attributed to these growing numbers. Hopefully Series 3 keeps this momentum going.
