According to a Bloomberg report, the Apple Watch 2 will have GPS. This will allow the Apple Watch to determine its location accurately. It's also useful for fitness applications. This does not mean it will have cellular connectivity. It will rely on the iPhone for this, as it will reduce strain on the battery. This does leave potential for better fitness-based Apple Watch apps.
