iOS 10 Has Unencrypted Kernel

According to MIT Technology Review, the current iOS 10 beta has an unencrypted kernel. The kernel typically is the core of a computer's function. While that may seem bad, Apple has told TechCrunch their reasoning.
"The kernel cache doesn’t contain any user info, and by unencrypting it we’re able to optimize the operating system’s performance without compromising security."
Let's hope this statement stays true...
