If you are a student, you don't want to be disturbed by unwanted text messages. What I do is put my phone in "Do not Disturb" mode (iOS 6). To do this, go to Settings. There should be a switch that says "Do not Disturb". Switch that to on. This silences all incoming calls. I hope this helps.
