4G LTE is extremely fast, yet the idea of something even faster is very intriguing. T-Mobile plans to roll out 5G in the U.S. in 2019. By 2020, they plan to have nationwide coverage. Of course, a 5G network doesn't mean anything without a phone that supports it. These phones are expected to be released this year. No word yet on when Apple would implement this, but it will likely be closer to the rollout of 5G by all carriers.
