According to
TechCrunch, Facebook is developing a desktop app for Facebook Messenger. This report actually originated from a leaked photo. The photo shows an app similar in layout to that of the iOS app. It should be noted that many products Facebook makes don't actually get released into the public and fade back into the drawing boards. This could be the case as it would seem odd for Facebook, a service that has focused heavily on its website for desktop use, to use an app. We'll probably hear soon if this is a real thing.
