A Better Way to Control Apple TV
If you haven't tried this already, download the Remote app from the Apple App Store. With Apple TV, you can control it with an iOS device. Be sure both the Apple TV and the iOS device are on the same WiFi network and are registered to the same Apple ID. Select your Apple TV from the Remote app and select the remote control function from one of the corners. There you go!
