Apple File System

The Apple File System (APFS) is a new file system optimized for flash storage, being developed for Apple's operating systems. It also has various security features, but the big kicker is how well it will optimize and save storage. The system can create copies of items while occupying minimal drive space. This will be coming to iOS in iOS 10.3, perhaps next month.
