People have been reporting that apps from the Mac App Store have been "damaged" and unable to open. This was because the security certificates for Mac App Store expired on November 11, 2015. This could cause this message to appear. It is fixed now, but you'll have to be connected to the internet for the certificates to be fixed. Rebooting can help as well. I hope this helps.
