After the Apple Watch was released in April, the 38mm exclusive Modern Buckle band (standalone) was unavailable. As of today, it is now available without having to buy an Apple Watch with it. The leather made for the band comes from a single tannery in France. This is probably why there was such a delay in getting this band to be standalone.
