Did you know, that Flappy Bird clones, parodies of the popular game "Flappy Bird" (which was removed from the app stores), make up 95 of 293 of games released on the iOS App Store at their peak?! That's a whole third!!! The reasons for parodying Flappy Bird included popularity, ad revenue (The creator of the original Flappy Bird made $50,000 a day!), and bragging rights. Currently, a Flappy Bird clone hits an app store every 24 minutes.
